AMPD Technologies is excited to sponsor the upcoming 12th annual Spark Animation Festival which is BC's only Oscar®-accredited festival. AMPD Technologies is proud to support Spark CG in their vision to cultivate creativity and innovation in animation and visual effects, for both film and television.
The Animation Festival Award, which is presented annually by the Spark CG association, recognizes an individual or a team of artists credited with a recent significant project in animation.
Over the course of 2020, Spark reviewed thousands of submissions for Animated Feature Films, Animated Short Films, Animated Student Films, VFX Short Narrative and more. The accepted styles include Computer animation (2D & 3D), traditional animation, and stop-motion animation.
“On behalf of the entire AMPD team, I congratulate all the studios that were accepted into the festival. Thanks to non-profit groups such as Spark CG, the filmmakers are poised to continue to contribute to economic growth across the industry providing opportunities and inspiration for a new generation of creators,” commented Anthony Brown, CEO, AMPD Technologies. “AMPD has been working with Canadian creators for nearly twenty years, applying our expertise in digital media and film production technology to help them design, plan, and budget the technical components of forthcoming digital media projects,” added Anthony.
The programming team, led by Festival Director, Marina Antunes, is pleased to present a wide-ranging, diverse line-up of films and filmmakers available to screen and meet online in 2020. She adds, "Along with a program of edgy and award-winning short and feature films, we will have director Q & A sessions, live presentations, and opportunities for festival pass-holders to network with filmmakers virtually.”
